Biography
The face of McKenna Grace is familiar to the film and television viewer. In her young years, she can already boast a rather extensive filmography, which is not surprising, since the girl has been removed since she was 6 years old. Successfully making her debut in children’s films, McKenna organically blends into adult cinema, playing in such films as “Independence Day: Revival” and “Mr. Church.” And after the title role in the film “The Gifted”, the young Grace is called nothing less than a small actress of big roles.

Childhood and youth
McKenna Grace was born on June 25, 2006 in Grapevine, Texas. It is known that the parents of the girl are not related to the world of cinema. Therefore, nothing foreshadowed McKenna’s early acting glory if Providence had not intervened: on the 5th birthday, the grandmother gave her granddaughter a tape with a collection of films from Shirley Temple.

The girl, as enchanted, spent several days in front of the screen, and then declared: “I also want it so.” She began to play theater, using dolls and her favorite dogs instead of spectators. Seeing this, the parents gave the daughter to the children’s acting classes.

The teachers, having started classes with the child, just threw up their hands and told the amazed mom and dad:

“She does things that cannot be taught.”

On the advice of teachers, parents turned to an acting agency, and a week later McKenna starred in the first advertisement for the YMCA. And soon the girl was invited to the first role in the series. Mom and McKennay moved to Los Angeles, and soon other households moved there.

Films
The girl made her debut in the teen series “Crash and Bernstein” on the Disney TV channel. The main character of the sitcom is 12-year-old Wyatt Bernstein. He has 3 sisters, and the boy really wants a brother, so he creates a talking doll, Crash. And now his life is full of funny adventures. Grace played Wyatt’s younger sister, Jasmine, and for 2 seasons she delighted young audiences with her play.

From 2015 to 2017, young Grace appears on the set of the series “Once Upon a Time in a Fairy Tale”, which went on successfully for 7 seasons on ABC. The plot of the film unfolds in a fairy-tale and real world: McKenna played the young Emma Swan, the savior of the enchanted Prince and Snow White, and perfectly coped with her task, fully immersed in the atmosphere of their favorite fairy tales.

By the age of 10, McKenna had become so popular that she was being invited in vain not only in children’s but also in adult films. And in them the actress is no less organic than on the court with her peers. So, in 2016, the girl appeared in the touching drama of Bruce Beresford “Mr. Church”, in which she was able to touch the talent of Eddie Murphy, who played the main role.

In the same year, the role of McKenna brings her international success: she is removed from Roland Emmerich himself, who took the girl to the blockbuster “Independence Day: Revival” – the continuation of his cult fantasy action movie. The film has collected worldwide box office nearly $ 400 million, and the actors brought good dividends in the form of fees and fame.

However, most of all McKenna Grace became famous after participating in the drama “The Gifted”. This is her first major role in an adult movie, and the girl coped brilliantly with a difficult task. Heroine Grace is an unusually gifted teenager, Mary Adler, who lives with Uncle Frank (Chris Evans). But when his mother finds out that her granddaughter is a mathematical genius, in Mary’s life things are not changing for the better.

The film was critically acclaimed, and Chris Evans and McKenna Grace were nominated for the Teen Choice Awards and Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, respectively. The same year was marked by several more works of Grace – the main roles in the horror “Amityville Horror: Awakening” and the film-biography “Tonya against all” about the life of the notorious American figure skater Tony Harding. But in the Grace filmography, this is already there – from 2016 to 2018 McKenna plays Penny Kirkman – the daughter of the head of the White House in the political drama “Successor”. Her screen father was played by the celebrated Kiefer Sutherland.

In 2018, McKenna mainly devotes herself to working on a small screen. She appeared in the episode of the series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, in which Kiernan Shipka plays the main role – the girls are very similar to what all the viewers noticed. Grace also began acting in the TV show “Ghosts at Home on the Hill.” In the same year, the first major negative role in the thriller “The Bad Seed” appears in the career of an actress.

She played Emma – a high school teenager who is experiencing the early death of a mother. Her father (Rob Lowe) consoles her daughter as best she can, but soon notices that she is somehow involved in the mysterious deaths occurring in her school. At first the pupil who won the medal she dreamed about drowned, then the teacher and the former nanny died. David is horrified to admit that his daughter is a cold-blooded killer.

Now McKenna Grace acts in two serials. In one of them – the sitcom “Fuller House” – she started playing back in 2016. Another project, Sheldon’s Childhood, was launched in 2018. He is a prequel to the cult TV series The Big Bang Theory and tells about the childhood of one of his main characters, the physics of Sheldon Cooper. Grace has a recurring role in the sitcom (Paige).

In 2019, 3 films are expected with the participation of a young actress – “Captain Marvel”, “Troop Zero” and “Untitled Annabelle film”.
