Biography
American actress.
Although deaf, Marlee Matlin chose a career as an actress. In 1987, at age 21, she received the “Oscar” in the nomination “Best Actress” for her role in the film “Children of a Lesser God.” She was the first deaf actress to receive this award, and one of the four actresses who received her debut work in cinema.
The actress is known for his work on the series “Seinfeld,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “The L Word,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Body Parts”, “My Name is Earl” and others.
