Matt Bomer: Biography
Matthew Statenon Bomer, who is better known to us as Matt Bomer, was born on October 11, 1977 in the town of Spring, which is located in a suburb of Houston. In addition to Matthew, in the Sissy and John Bomerov families, two more children were growing up. Matt’s father was a professional footballer and gained fame by playing for the Dallas Cowboys Club.

From the father, the children adopted a love of football, and Matthew was involved in this sport since childhood, and even intended, like dad, to become a professional football player. But besides sport, the young Bomer had another serious hobby – the theater. When he was 8 years old, the boy became so eager to try himself as an actor, that he begged his mother to find an agent for him. Since the woman did not take her son’s words seriously, he had to prepare himself for acting. Therefore, Matt honed the skill, playing in school productions and musicals.

At the end of school, Matt Bomer was faced with a choice: sport or is it art? He chose the latter, which he later never regretted. Soon, Matthew becomes a student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, from which he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Films
The creative biography of Matt Bomer began in New York, where he moved after graduation. Here the young artist began to attend castings and tests. Soon Bomer was accepted into one of the theaters. For some time he went on stage, playing minor roles, but the theatrical period ended after the first offer to play in a movie. Matt Bomer debuted in All My Children. This soap opera was on the ABC channel in 2001.

Then another role in the series, this time a longer one – “Guiding Light”, in which the young actor has been playing for almost 3 years. Since the work in this film took a lot of time, Bomer had to quit his part-time job – in his spare time, he worked as a courier at a firm located in the twin towers of New York. By a happy coincidence, Matt resigned from this job just a couple of months before the September 11 tragedy.

“Guiding light” brought the actor first popularity. But before this glory was still far away. Until 2009, Matt appeared in several other TV shows, such as Birds of War: Diary of an Unknown Aviator, Return From the Dead, and North Shore. This was followed by more serious projects, including the painting “The Illusion of Flight” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” In the last tape, Bomer played the main character for the first time and became recognizable. The next main role was waiting for him in the adventure film “The Lost”. Among the worthy works of that period are the tapes “Chuck” and “Losers”.

The real resounding success awaited Matt Bomer after appearing in the popular TV series “White Collar”, where the artist appeared in the form of the FBI officer Neal Caffrey, who previously hunted objects of art. This American TV series was released in the 2010th and immediately became a hit, turning Bomer into a superstar. The tape was so successful that it was soon broadcast by television channels from many European countries and beyond. At the moment there are 5 seasons, but, judging by the success, to be continued.

Being busy in the project “White Collar”, Matt Bomer had time to star in other films, where he was strongly invited by directors. Among the most successful are the SuperMike movie and the Time dystopia, where Matt Bomer starred with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

In 2014, Matt Bomer came up with new designs. This tape “Ordinary Heart” and fantastic pictures “Love through time” and “Space Station 76”. For participation in a supporting role in the film “Ordinary Heart” Bomer was awarded the Golden Globe Award. This role brought Beaumer no less glory than the “White Collar.” Matthew played an AIDS homosexual. The main role went to Mark Ruffalo. Julia Roberts and Taylor Kitsch also played in this series.

Later, Bomer shared that he had read the play, according to which the film was made when he was 14 years old. It was then that he realized that he belonged to the sexual minority. And it was from that time that he dreamed of playing in a film based on this play.

But getting into the role was not easy: if director Ryan Murphy immediately agreed to film Matt Bomer as Felix, the scriptwriter and author of the play Larry Kramer found the artist too beautiful for the image of an AIDS-sick hero. In order to get into the project, Matt had to lose almost 20 kilograms. For this, he even went to a special clinic where, under the supervision of doctors, he drank only water and juice for 2 weeks. After 3 months, Kramer, seeing Bomer, no longer objected to his participation in the series.

Personal life
For a long time, the popular actor avoided questions in every way about everything that didn’t concern work.

Matt Bomer’s personal life was hidden by a thick curtain. In the beginning of 2010, the artist once again, answering the questions of the journalist of the “Details” publication, tried to avoid the question of his gay orientation.

But in the spring of 2011, Bomer openly admitted that he was gay, and he had long been in close relations with the well-known publicist Simon Holls. Together they are engaged in the education of their third sons. Two boys are twins born to a surrogate mother.
