The beginning of the path
Beatrice Arthur, full name Beatrice “Bee” Arthur, present – Bernice Frankel, was born may 13, 1922 in the American city of new York, and spent his childhood in Maryland. Parents almost all my free time is devoted to own a clothing store. Beatrice studied dramatic art in College, Blackstone, Virginia.
After graduation, aspiring actress came back and entered the service of the theatre “cherry lane”, suddenly becoming one of the brightest and most talented Actresses in new York. At the theater, Beatrice Arthur has created a vivid, memorable public images: Lucy brown in “Threepenny Opera” and a matchmaker in the production of “Fiddler on the roof”. In 1966, the actress brilliantly played Vera Charles in the musical “Mam” received for the role of the theatrical award “Tony”.

Beatrice Arthur was married twice. For the first time – for two times. Her first husband was screenwriter and television producer Robert Alan Orter. And the second to Director gene Saks. In a second marriage, the actress has lived a long and happy life, raising two children. At the age of 86 Beatrice Arthur died on April 25, 2009 from cancer at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by loved ones and people close to her.
