Tarasenko Vladimir Andreevich – Russian hockey player, was born on December 13, 1991 in Yaroslavl, master of sports, height 182 cm, weight 95 cm, right-handed attackers of the NHL St. Louis Blues. Nicknamed Vladimir – “Russian tank.”
Tarasenko was born in Yaroslavl, but began to engage in Novosibirsk, his first coach was his father – a famous hockey player and coach Andrei Tarasenko. By the way, his grandfather Vladimir Tarasenko, a senior himself, was engaged in sports, and directed the sports school “Chkalovets”.
Despite the fact that Tarasenko almost immediately proved himself to be an excellent scorer, for the first time he appeared in the junior team only in 2008, and the first club was the Siberian club, where he started from the 2007/2008 season to his end proved himself as one of the best players, as a result of which in the 2008/2009 season he was already in the main part of “Siberia”, making his debut on September 3, 2008 in a match against “Dynamo” (Moscow).
The following seasons were quite successful and already in the season 2011/2012 he, along with Jory Lehter and Jonas Enlund, becomes the third in the shock troika of “Siberia” and the leader of the team.
Later, Vladimir exchanged SKA for St. Petersburg for Vyacheslav Solodukhin, and in 2012 after the contract with SKA he decided to start a career in the NHL and signed a three-year contract with the newcomer with the St. Louis Blues team. Already in the second season, Vladimir became the team’s best sniper, and from the beginning of the season 2014/2015 one of the club’s leaders, thanks to a very productive game.
In the summer of 2015, Vladimir Tarasenko signed a new 8-year contract with the St. Louis Blues for $ 60 million.
As for the international career of the player, Vladimir played for the junior national team of Russia at the junior world championships of 2009, was a member of the Russian national team at the 2010 World Youth Championships and at the 2011 World Youth Championships, where he was captain of the team and in the same year joined team world champion. In April 2011, he was invited to the friendly games and the final stage of the Euro Hockey Tour in the adult national team, but he did not achieve much success, and in 2012 he did not participate in the World Championship, as he was not included in the final application for the tournament.
