The Kooks are an English indie rock band, which future members of the band, Luke, Picard , Paul Garred , Hugh Harris , Max Rafferty, was founded as a students Brinskogo Institute of modern music in 2004. Since then, the group has slightly changed – Dan Logan has replaced max Rafferty in 2008. The band got its name from the songs of David Bowie “Kooks”. At its first concert, the participants sang the song Reptilia the Strokes.

Since that time, they have come a long way, became favorites of music critics and effectively performed at the opening act for The Thrills and The Subways. Arriving on the big stage, performing Eddie’s Gun The Kooks started to gain popularity with new singles Sofa Song and You Don’t Love Me.
Debut album Inside In/Inside Out only strengthened the popularity of this team, being to crowded. If you take bands such as The Kinks, The Beatles , The Beach Boys, add a little reggae, then you are about half-way understand what Inside In/Inside Out.
Of course, lyrics the kooks this album in no way fail to call a genius or claim to something, it’s just a small 14 songs that were written for the little time of existence of the team, but they radiate youth and energy, when divided into simple and concise tracks.

In the last song, the singer appears to us in the form of street soul-musician, who roams the American States, and then he and his friends suddenly starts to play a large and slightly psychedelic Intro. But that popular song is not the end – track I Want You Back opens melancholic and pessimistic side of the band. With the melodious sound of the piano, he turns in a powerful and emotional track, which can be called one of the most successful in the album.
The Kooks recorded really hit the debut album, Inside In/Inside Out, a collection of small and witty songs and warm and wonderful songs.
In April 2008, released another album “Konk”, which immediately took first place in the British charts.
