American actress.
Sue Lyon was born on July 10, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa. In the 14 years after the passage of the casting Lyon was chosen for the lead role in a film directed by Stanley Kubrick’s “Lolita”, which was made by writer Vladimir Nabokov, author of the novel. Age-nymphet her character, entering into a love affair with her stepfather Humbert, the film has been increased from 12 to 14 years. After the film censors banned the film show Seen viewers under 16 years of age. Lyon won the “Golden Globe” in nomination “The most promising aspiring actress.”
In 1964, Lyon has played in the film John Huston’s “Night of the Iguana” with Richard Burton. Later, she had roles in the films “7 Women” (1966) John Ford, “Flim Flam Man” (1967), “Evel Knievel” (1971). Throughout the 1970s, Lyon played a minor role and ceased to act in the early 1980s.
