Sophie Ellis-Bextor was born in a family of show business workers: Janet Ellis, mother, Sophie, at different times tried herself as an actress and TV presenter, and Robin Bextor, Sophie’s father, was a successful television directors and producer.
At the same time Sophie Ellis-Bextor had three sisters and two brothers – career did not prevent parents acquire a large family. But she still was not destined to live in unity and harmony when Sophie was only 4 years, the internal family problems prompted Robin and Janet to divorce. The beginning of the way
Career Sophie Ellis-Bextor began in 1997 as part of indie-band Theaudience, in which she performed as the lead vocalist. At the same time Sophie Ellis-Bextor has participated in the tour of George Michael, and then was invited to the band Take That tour. Until the fourth album release world-famous hits was the song Heartbreak Make Me a Dancer, Can not Fight This Feeling, issued together with the Junior Caldera, as well as Bitterswee, – teamwork Sophie and The Freemasons. Dance rhythms of these songs, accompanied by strong and gentle voice, Sophie, still often appear in the flow of the music on the radio. In the end, the presentation of the fourth album Elis Bextor Make a Scene took place only in April 2011.
Personal life
In the privacy of Sophie Ellis-Bextor reigns stability and peace of mind that it’s not like other pop stars. In 2005, the singer married British musician band The Feelings, Richard Jones. First son, Sonny, she gave birth to her fiance before marriage. And despite the fact that the first birth took place with complications, it did not prevent her to have a second child in 2009.
