Punk rock band Rise Against was formed in 1999 in Chicago (USA) and was originally called Transistor Revolt – then the band was lead vocalist Tim Mcilrath, guitarist and vocalist Dan Wleklinski, speaking under the pseudonym Mr. presizhn, bass guitarist and vocalist Joe Princip and drummer Tony Tintari. In 2000, haven’t played, the band has recorded a mini-album, Transistor Revolt, after which Tintari for shock briefly replaced by Dan Lumley, and in turn, Brendan Barnes. Through the year, the group managed to attract the attention of record label Fat Wreck Records and sign a contract with him already as Rise Against. In the same 2001 debut album, The Unraveling, recorded in the famous punk producer Massom Giorgini. The drive was greeted by the audience’s warm enough, but the great success was not. At the end of the tour in support of their firstborn, the band goes into the Studio to record their second album, Revolutions Per Minute, which was released in April 2003, His lyrical component was designed in an aggressive socio-political way. In support of the album Rise Against went on tour, sharing the stage with many famous bands, and also attended Warped Tour 2003.

Fourth album, The Sufferer & The Witness was released in July 2006 and immediately took the 10 th place the hit parade Billboard 200 in its first week it sold more than 48 000 drives (in 2008, the album has received “gold”). Musically, it was evident that the group began to return to punk rock roots. In December of the same year was released on DVD Generation Lost, history, live video, and episodes with music videos. In 2008, Rise Against has been preparing and recording his new album, in between speaking at various major festivals. Fifth album Appeal to Reason was released in October 2008, and for the first week it sold nearly 65,000 copies, which allowed the drive to take the 3rd place of the hit parade Billboard 200. Appeal To Reason listeners and critics greeted me warmly, though not without comment, that predecessor was powerful. The band once again went on tour. In October 2010 was released the second DVD Another Station: Another Mile, which was captured moments from the lives of group tours, as well as some live performances.
In late 2010 the band started recording their new album Endgame, which was released in March 2011, the Musicians felt it in some degree conceptual song told about hurricane Katrina, the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and also about homophobia.
