Rex Harrison – English actor of cinema and theater. Born March 5, 1908 in Houghton, Lancashire, United Kingdom.
Biography
Acting career began during his studies at the Liverpool College, where he first came on the scene. The Second World War interrupted at the time of Harrison’s acting career. He enlisted in the Royal Air Force and soon was promoted to lieutenant.

Harrison’s debut in the cinema took place in 1930 in the film “The Great Game.” Among the other films with the actor worth mentioning “Citadel”, “Night Train to Munich”, “Major Barbara”, “storm in a teacup,” “Anna and the King of Siam.” The role of Professor Higgins in the musical “My Fair Lady” brought widespread fame to Rex Harrison. But after the release of the film adaptation in 1964, where his partner was incomparable Audrey Hepburn, Harrison was awarded the “Oscar” in the category “Best Actor”.
