Rebecca Louise Ferguson Sundstrom was born on October 19, 1983 in Stockholm, Sweden. Her mother Rosemary, British by birth, moved to Sweden at the age of twenty-five, where she met her father’s daughter, a Swede. However, their marriage broke up when the girl was still a child. From the age of six, Rebecca went to an English-language school, two years later she transferred to a Swedish secondary school.

     From the age of thirteen, the future actress worked as a model, acting for local magazines and advertising clothes. As a student, Ferguson was seriously interested in music and went to the Adolf Fredrix School of Music, which she graduated in 1999.

     Rebecca Ferguson made her debut on Swedish TV screens on the melodramatic series “New Times” on TV4 when she was only fifteen years old. The girl got the main role of Anna Gripenhilm.      Talented Rebecca was noticed in London, where she was invited to casting in the historic serial “The White Queen”. Ferguson passed the test and was approved for the role of Elizabeth Woodville, wife of Edward the Fourth. The premiere of the series took place in 2013 on the TV channel “BBC One”.
