Biography
At the University of Minnesota (University of Minnesota), Peter studied drama, and even before he had a chance to serve in the army (U.S. Air Force).
Peter Graves (Peter Graves, real name – Peter Aurness) was born in 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Minneapolis, Minnesota). He was the younger brother of actor Jim Arness (Jim Arness); I grew up in the Methodist faith, in a family of a businessman Rolf Arness (Rolf Cirkler Aurness) and his wife Ruth (Ruth), journalist.
Peter Roth, actively engaged in sports and music, played the saxophone, and the 16-year-old had worked at a local radio station in Minneapolis WMIN.

His debut in film was for Peter Graves drama ‘Rogue River’ in 1951; Two years later, viewers saw it as a German spy in the war drama “Stalag №17 ‘(Stalag 17).
In the 50’s Peter battered so many roles, among which were many uppercase characters in a fairly popular paintings. So, he had to play in films such as the thriller ‘Black Tuesday’ (Black Tuesday), a horror film ‘It conquered the world’ (It Conquered the World), Western ‘Wichita’ (Wichita), a dramatic thriller “The Night of the Hunter ‘(The Night of the Hunter), adventure picture ‘Wolf Larsen’ (Wolf Larsen) and many others. At the same time the actor was filmed for TV.
A really wide public acclaim the actor was in 1967, playing the leader of the ‘Squad Mission Impossible’ (Impossible Missions Force) in the popular television series ‘Mission: Impossible’ (Mission: Impossible). He played the character James Phelps (James Phelps) until 1973, and later starred in the remake of the series 1988-1990-ies.
In 1971, for this work Graves received a Golden Globe; before he has twice received the nomination for this award. Among other awards actor – Emmy for a series of ‘biography’ TV (Biography).

It is known that Peter was married to Joan Endress (Joan Endress), the marriage lasted for six decades and ended only with the death of the actor. The family appeared three daughters – Kelly Jean (Kelly Jean), Claudia King (Claudia King) and Amanda Lee (Amanda Lee).
Peter Graves died of a heart attack March 14, 2010, before they are 4 days before his 84th birthday.
