Biography
In 1978 he signed with Scotti Brothers Records and recorded their second album “Feel the Need”. The track “I Was Made For Dancin” became instantly popular. Life continues to take notes.
Garrett started his acting career while still a five year old boy. He and his sister starred in the episodes. He played in such films as “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice”, “Walking Tall”, “Family” and “The Odd Couple”.
In the fall of 1976 life Garrett signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records and recorded their first self-titled album. The album was released in 1977, and soon the first of four singles from the album became hits, occupying a leading position in the charts. In 1978 he signed with Scotti Brothers Records and recorded their second album “Feel the Need”. The track “I Was Made For Dancin” became instantly popular. Life continues to take notes. So the release “Same Goes For You” (1979), “Can’t Explain” (1980), and “My Movie of You” (1981).
In the 1980s Garrett returned to filming in the movie. In 1983, singing the small role of Bob Sheldon, he appears in the movie “The Outsiders”. In 1985 he played a major role in “Shaker Run”. In the movie “Thunder Alley” he takes the role of lead singer of pop group, who abuse drugs, which leads to the disintegration of the group. Life also starred in “Delta Fever” and “Cheerleader Camp”.
After 5-year hiatus, the life comes back to work. In 1995, he appears in low-budget horror film “Dominion”. He also makes an entry of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” for album of the band “The Melvins” under the name “The Crybaby”. In 1998 he released “The Leif Garrett Collection”, a collection of greatest hits. And in 1999, he Christopher Wade Amerstam and Michael Scott creates the group “Godspeed”. They recorded three songs under the label Garrett. The group did not last long. In 2003, life appears in the movie “Former Child Star”. He has also performed and co-wrote a track to this film. He also took part in the “Child Stars On Your Television”.
In September 2006, Garrett appeared in the edition of “Fear Factor”. Life took place in the final and continued to fight for the main prize of $50,000.
In August 2007 he took part in the show “Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge”.
