BIOGRAPHY
American actress.
Born November 12, 1922 in Detroit (Michigan, USA).
After training at the prestigious Actors Studio Kim Hunter appeared on stage in seventeen years in a small theater company in Miami.
Four years later she made her debut on the screen from producer Val Lewton (who helped to find a stage name) and directed by Mark Robson in a great horror film “The Seventh Victim” (1943). The game of the film “Tender Comrade” (1943) about a group of women who live together during the war, was named actor Republican “red propaganda.” Screenwriter Dalton Trumbo and directed by Edward Dmytryk were entered in the “black list”. Hunter also got there. She had to leave the film and working in the theater and on television.
Kim Hunter was six years in the Association Council for equality actors and worked actively in the Screen Actors Guild.
Died September 11, 2002 in New York (NY, USA).
