Biography
Welsh actor, comedian, musician, singer, songwriter, writer and broadcaster. Is the father of singer Lily Allen and actor Alfie Owen-Allen.
Allen was born in Gorseinon, near Swansea, South Wales (Gorseinon, Swansea, Wales); he was the second of three children of Edward Charles Owen, a Royal Navy submariner. Early years Keith passed near Swansea, Malta and Gosport. At age 11 he went to school in Essex – however, already at 13 he was kicked out. At age 15 Allen for theft came to the colony for minors; later Keith argued that the time spent there just fine.
Throughout the ‘ 70s Keith held various jobs; he also worked as a stagehand – however, he was expelled for appearing on stage with no clothes on during a performance of the choir Bygraves max (Max Bygraves). Success Allen has enjoyed only as a comedian; he acted mainly as the opening act for popular rock bands like ‘the Clash’.
In the 80s, Allen starred in the film series ‘The Comic Strip Presents…’ on channel 4. Some time the kit even had her own Comedy show; it was called ‘I Love Keith Allen’ and broadcast on channel Galaxy.
In 1993, Keith starred in one of the episodes of the show ‘Inspector Morse’; a script for the series was written by Danny Boyle. This episode was one of three released in the 90 projects involving Allen, in which Boyle played either as a Director or as a screenwriter.
In 1994, Keith starred in the Thriller Danny Boyle’s ‘Shallow Grave’. In the same year, Allen played in the highest degree critically acclaimed production of ‘Martin Chuzzlewit’. In 1996, Allen again played in the film ‘Trainspotting’ all the same, Danny Boyle. Boyle later said that in ‘Shallow grave’ and ‘Trainspotting’ Keith played virtually the same character in both films Allen wore the same clothes and the same bag.
In 2000, Allen played in two plays of Harold Pinter in the theatre Almeida. Keith first played Lambert in ‘Celebration’, then Mr Sands in ‘The Room’.
In 2004, Keith played the main villain in ‘Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London’.
In 2011 at the Cannes film festival was a documentary, the whale, dedicated to the history of the death of Princess Diana (Diana, Princess of Wales). Shooting fully paid Mohamed al-Fayed (Mohamed Al-Fayed).
In the late 70’s Keith Allen was in a punk band ‘Atoms’; later he moved to ‘Fat Les’. Keith is quite actively collaborated with the group ‘New Order’; in fact, he wrote their only single to reach first place in the British charts, ‘World In Motion’.
Allen is known as an ardent fan of ‘Fulham’ oldest London football club.
9th December 2007 in the programme ‘Top Gear’ Allen stated that he had 8 children; it was, however, an exaggeration – children in China, only 6, from 4 different women. Among children whale special mention must be made singer Lily Allen and actor Alfie Owen-Allen; she gave birth to their whale of his first wife Alison Owen. For some time Keith was married to Naure Park. Allen now lives with actress Tamzin Malleson; in 2006 they had a daughter, Teddy.
