Biography Keane
One of the most outstanding rock bands of our time – Keane – was formed in 1997 in East Sussex in the UK. Originally the band was called Lotus Eaters and consisted of four young men: Tim rice-Oxley, Tom Chaplin, Richard Hughes and Dominic Scott. Later, guitarist Dominic Scott left the band. In 1999, the musicians went to London hoping to conquer the world. In 2000 Keane released the single Call Me What You Like, and in 2001 – Wolf At The Door. The songs were good, but they failed to attract the attention of a wider audience and record companies. Soon Keane returned home without tangible results, frustrated and depressed. And yet their work in London was not useless. Simon Williams, head of the famous record label Fierce Panda, he heard Keane was playing at 12 Bar Club in London, and in January 2003, invited the musicians to do some recordings.
Recorded Keane Everybody’s Changing, and the song became the Single of the Week on Radio 1 evaluations. In late 2003, Keane signed to Island UK and started working in a small Studio Helioscentric on their debut album Hopes & Fears, which was released in may 2004. This collection brought Keane fame, and in 2004 the group made four tour of the UK, and in 2005 – five tours in the United States. Keane gave concerts in Mexico, Japan and Australia, traveled all over Europe, participated in various international festivals and world-known London Live 8 show. In 2005, the Drive Hopes & Fears won in Britain award for Breakthrough artist and Best album of the Year, as well as the title of the Best Album version music magazine Q.
In 2006, recorded a Keane Under the Iron Sea, a stunning collection, which included hits such as Try Again, Atlantic and Is It Any Wonder? In 2008 a new album Perfect Symmetry. It was a pleasant surprise for fans of Keane, once again stressing the uniqueness of the group in the world of rock music. From other rock bands Keane has always distinguished the fact that the main instrument is not guitar, and keyboards. Songs of Perfect Symmetry, Better Than This and Spiralling immediately became extremely popular. At the moment Keane is one of the most prominent and promising rock bands in the world.
