Biography
Born on 12 February 1968 in Los Angeles in the family of the famous American film and theater actor James Brolin and his first wife Jane Agee. In the footsteps of his famous father the boy went from childhood: playing in the school plays, then studied acting at the Stella Adler, the most famous American theater teacher. His first film role, he received at age 16, starring in the drama of the plot of Steven Spielberg’s “The Goonies” (1985) about teenagers-losers who went on a treasure hunt. Following the young actor played in the teen drama “Crash” (1986) about the skateboarders and plunged into the TV (movie “Prison for Children” (1987), “Finish Line” (1989) TV series “Jump Street”, “Private Eye” “Young riders”). In 20 years, Josh was married to actress Alice Adair, who four years of marriage gave him two children.
For 29 years the actor has in the arsenal of many works in different genres, but still he can not light up in the famous tapes from famous directors. In 1997 he starred in the drama “The Nightwatch” (1997) with Ewan McGregor. The tape was a resounding success with the audience and won in four nominations for “Oscar”, including best film. Brolin lightning acquired the status of a big movie star. The success cemented the fact that in the same triumphant, the actor played the role of the sinister Dr. Block in the movie cult director Robert Rodriguez’s “Planet Terror” and played a corrupt detective corpses in director Ridley Scott’s drama “American Gangster.”
