American actress.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
His bright appearance Jennifer Beals has inherited from his father African-American mother and a Catholic of Irish descent. She grew up in Chicago as a teenager and moonlighted as a model of child nurse.
Beals debut in the movie (though without mention in the credits) held in 1980 in the movie “My Bodyguard” (My Bodyguard). At the same time she was admitted to Yale University, where she studied American literature.
Jennifer traveled to Europe when her agent called her to New York to audition for the project, which is being touted as the female version of “Saturday Night Fever” ( “Saturday Night Fever”). Of the thousands of young actresses, producers Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer was impressed Beals, which got her first starring role. “Flashdance” (1983) became the breakthrough, which at the time made her a star.

Mid 90’s was marked by the creation of Beals striking characteristic images in films – “Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle” (1994), “The devil in a blue dress” (1995) and “The Last Days of Disco” (1998).
She went back to the big screen in 2001 in the film with a brilliant cast, who directed Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Cumming “Jubilee,” which was followed by “Sly Roger” (2002).
