American film and television actor, the fame which came after starring in the film “Dawson’s Creek”.
James van Der Beek was born on 8 March 1977 in the United States of America, in Connecticut (Cheshire) – the family of Melinda and William. James ‘ mother was a dancer (in the past) and Manager of the family company cell phones. The father of the actor was a professional baseball player. He left the sport almost immediately after the birth of James and began working as a sales Manager.
First, James van Der Beek was fond of football. But high school football career ended with a concussion. So he just fell in love with theatre. In local theater, he played a major role in the play “Grease” (“Grease”). James’s mom early saw the talent of her son. When he was 16, she supported his desire for the stage, accompanying him on a daily six-hour trip to new York to audition. Despite the actions of agents and managers, first trip, James did not succeed . He spent a year auditioning for commercials without much success. He was ready to start College when he received an offer from the creators of the TV series “Dawson’s Creek”. In spring 1999 van der Beek began acting at a very popular youth film about football “varsity Blues” with talented actor John Voight. This was followed by the film ” Scary Movie “(Scary Movie), and soon James can be seen in “Texas Ranger” (Texas Rangers), acting together with Dillon McDermott, Ashton Kutcher, Rachael Leigh cook.
