ELLIOTT gOLDSTEIN
American actor.
Born August 29, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, USA in the family of Bernard and Lucille Goldstein, immigrants from Eastern Europe.
Since 1957, he played on the stage of Broadway theaters and TV. In the film he debuted in 1964 – Jester in the film “Once Upon a Mattress”.
He became especially popular at the turn of the 60’s – 70’s starring a young, energetic, often cynical, but always attractive heroes of such films as “Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice” (Ted 1969, directed by Paul Mazursky, nomination. on “Oscar”, 1970, nominations for the British Academy, 1971), “The choice of the way” (Harry Bailey, 1970).
Particular known for his role in the anti-militarist surgeon Trapper comedy “M.A.S.H.” (1970, dir. Robert Altman, The “Golden Laurel” in 1971, a nomination for the Prize “Golden Globe” and the British Academy Award, 1971).

However, in recent years, Gould acquired the status of “nostalgic Star”, which brought him commercially successful role of one of the partners in the film Ocean’s “Ocean’s Eleven” (2001) and its sequels.
