Dylan Christopher Minnett was born on December 29, 1996 in Evansville, Indiana, USA. In the family of Robin and Craig Minnetta Dylan became the only child. In 2001, the family moved to Champaign, Illinois, and four years later to Los Angeles. Unusual for Americans, the surname became an inheritance from Irish great-great-great-grandfather, actor Martin Minnett. Since then, an admixture of English, German, Scottish, Irish and Welsh blood has appeared in the genealogical tree of Dylan.
