Donna Dixon was born on July 20, 1957 in Virginia, in Alexandria. Her father was the owner of the popular Hillbilly Heaven club.
Dixon is well educated. In 1975, the actress graduated from the Groveton High School – with a diploma and great success.
She started her own creative career in 1976, after taking part in the Miss America contest, and then in the beauty contest Miss World (in 1977). By that time, Dixon had already worked as a model for a long time – her appearance was familiar to many and was considered quite popular.
In the early eighties, Donna Dixon took part in the filming of the television series Bosom Buddies, in which she played alongside the now famous Tom Hanks.
After three years of hard work, the actress starred in the movie Doctor Detroit, on the set of which she met actor Dan Aikroud. After a while, they got married and later worked together again in the films Spies Like Us and The Couch Trip. The couple not only played together in the movies, but also brought up three daughters. The first – Daniel – was born in 1989, the second – Kingston Belle – was born in 1993, and the third – Stella Irene – pleased the family with its own birth in the spring of 1995.
