Biography
The band was formed in 1968 around drummer “Searchers” Chris Curtis. The albums “The Book Of Taliesyn” and “Deep Purple” contained good composition of type “Kentucky Woman” “River Deep – Mountain High” and “April”. The Orthodox successor of this album “Deep purple in rock” made the band the leading hard-rock band. Connection sound on of Lord and Blackmore guitar, complemented by the powerful vocals of Gillan, create a “signature” sound, “Deep Purple”. This disc, as well as two follow-up album “Fireball” and “Machine head” became the leaders of the charts.
The band was formed in 1968 around drummer “Searchers” Chris Curtis (Christopher Kramme, born 26 August 1941, Oldham, England), selects a team for the sessions. Jon Lord (born 9 June 1941, Leicester, England; keyboards), Nick simper (R. 3 November 1945, Southall, England; bass) and Ritchie Blackmore (born 14 April 1945, Weston, England; guitar) joined him under the guise of “Roundabout”.
