Short biography
August 3, 1986 in Minsk was born Daria Domracheva, two-time world champion and three-time Olympic champion in biathlon. The family of the 28-year-old biathlete is not at all athletic: her father and mother work as architects.
When Dasha was 4 years old, her parents moved from Minsk to the Siberian city of Nyagan.
First, Daria engaged in dancing and basketball, and in the ski race, her older brother called her in 1992. The girl studied well, despite training, training and competitions. She preferred to spend her summer vacation in her native city, Minsk.
Professionally, Domracheva took up biathlon since 1999. Together with this, the enrollment for the second year of the Tyumen University in the faculty of sports management.
In 2003, the family returned to Minsk, where Daria entered the BSEU for advertising and defended a diploma on “Advertising in the tourism industry”.
Until 2004, Daria Domracheva ran and shot for the junior team of the Russian Federation. But she always dreamed of playing for the country, in the capital of which she was born. At the Sochi Olympics, Daria Domracheva became the champion for the first time. February 11, 2014 in the pursuit (10 km) athlete from Belarus won a gold medal. Personal life
There were a lot of rumors about the novel between Domracheva and the “king of biathlon” Ole Bjorndalen. They say that he even divorced his wife to marry Dasha.
