Biography
Asher Angel, like many “star” children, began his acting career with the Disney channel. Television could have swallowed the young talent if in 2017 the creators of the movie “Shazam!”, Based on the DC comics, had not noticed him and issued a ticket to the big world of Hollywood.

Asher Angel was born on September 6, 2002 in the richest municipality of the state of Arizona – Paradise Valley (Paradise Valley). The boy became the firstborn in the family of Jody and Coco Angel, then brother Avi (January 10, 2006) and sister London Blue (February 13, 2008) were born.

In the series, not only problems familiar to every teenager are raised – first love, poor grades, overly caring parents, but also things that few people face: the bar mitzvah ceremony, panic attacks, the substitution of roles in the family. After all, the plot revolves around Andy, who, on the first day of her 13th birthday, learns that a girl named Bex, whom she considered her sister, is in fact her mother.

“Andy Mac” is the first Disney series to feature a young hero, seventh grader Cyrus Goodman, who is gay. For this, critics called the project “innovative”. Andy Mac has the highest ratings among viewers aged 6-14.

In November 2017, it became known that Asher Angel will star in the movie about the superhero from DC comics “Shazam!” The comedy tells the story of a teenager Billy Batson who can transform into a grown man with supernormal abilities using the keyword: “Shazam!”

Shazam! Events unfolds 2 years after Justice League (2016). 14-year-old orphan Billy Batson is moving into a new foster home, already the seventh in a row. He meets his “brother”, the disabled Freddie Freeman, played by the star of the movie “It” (2017) Jack Dylan Grazer. Freddie loves comics and everything related to superheroes.

One day, Billy gets into a subway car and finds himself in a secret world, where an ancient wizard provides the young man with the opportunity to turn into a god-like adult superhero. Enlisting Freddie’s help, Billy must understand what abilities he possesses and how, with a teenage brain, he can cope with the villain – Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Shazam combines the wisdom of Solomon, the power of Hercules, the endurance of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury. Zachary Levi played the role of “adult” alter-ego Billy Batson.

Personal life

Asher Angel is a Jew. On December 5, 2015, a bar mitzvah ceremony was held.

Escher devotes his free time to music: he learns to play the guitar, takes vocals 4 times a week, composes music himself. In the series “Andy Mac” Angel performed his own song “Being Around You”, and on the Internet he presented the singles “Chemistry”, “Getaway” and “Snow Globe Wonderland”, the last two tracks – with videos.
