Alexander Skarsgård is a Swedish actor. He gained the greatest notoriety for his roles in the TV series “Generation of Murderers”, “A Drop of Real Blood”, “True Blood” and the film “Melancholy”.

Born on August 25, 1976 in Stockholm, in the family of the famous Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard and doctor. In 2007, the couple divorced. Two of the four siblings of Alexander also subsequently became actors, and her sister is engaged in modeling business.

Alexander played the first role at the age of eight in the film “The Eye and His World”. In 1989, after the release of another film with his participation, “Laughing Dog”, it became famous among teenagers in Sweden. Skarsgard didn’t like that they recognized him on the streets and didn’t give him any peace, so he left his acting career. After graduation, he served in the army, in the coastal artillery troops. After returning home, Alexander decided to study architecture and applied for college, but he wanted to return to acting and went to England, where he entered the University of Leeds in the Faculty of English. Skarsgard’s Hollywood debut took place in 2001 in The Model Male, along with Ben Stiller. Alexander played a small role, so this film did not bring him great fame in America, and he returned to Sweden. He played on the theatrical stage, and also acted as a screenwriter and director of the short film “Kill a Child”, well received by critics.

A new wave of popularity came to Skarsgard after the release of the American TV series “Generation of murderers”, where he got one of the key roles.
