Adam Douglas Driver was born in San Diego but grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he graduated. His family has European ramifications: in his veins in fact flows English, Dutch, German, Irish and Scottish blood.
He receives a religious education (his stepfather is a Baptist minister) and as a boy he sings in the church choir. When he attends high school he appears in numerous school plays.
