Abhishek BACHCHAN (born 5 February 1976, Mumbai, India) is an Indian film actor and producer, son of famous actor Amitabh bacchan, who was married to actress and Miss World Aishwarya Paradise.
Bachchan debuted in 2000 in the film “Rejected” (Refugee). In 2004, starred in the films “Dhoom” (Dhoom) and “At the crossroads of destiny” (Yuva). For the film “At the crossroads of destiny” Bachchan was awarded a number of prestigious awards — his first prize Filmfare Awards was the prize in the nomination “Best actor of the second plan”. This award he was awarded two consecutive years. In 2010 as producer he was awarded the national prize of the Indian Academy of motion picture arts for the film “Daddy” (Paa). The film itself was nominated and won the award for the “Best feature film in Hindi”.
Abhishek Bachchan — son of bollywood actor Amitabh bacchan and actress Jaya Bachchan. He has an older sister Shweta Bachchan-Nanda (Shweta Bachchan-Nanda) born in 1974. His grandfather Harivamsa Raj Bachchan (Harivansh Rai Bachchan) was a poet. Original name of its parent site collection — Shrivastav, and the name Bachchan was used by his grandfather as his literary pseudonym. However, his father, having started his career in the film industry used this alias.
In childhood the Bachchan suffered from dyslexia. Studied in Mumbai private school “Jamnabai Narsee School”, in the Bombay Scottish school in Mumbai, new Delhi school “Modern School” in the Swiss private boarding school “Aiglon College”. Later he moved to United States and enrolled in Boston University.
In October 2002, the celebration of the 60th anniversary of his father, Amitabh bacchan, Abhishek and actress Karisma Kapoor (Karisma Kapoor) have announced their engagement. However, in January of the following year the engagement was terminated.
In 2006, Abhishek Bachchan was named the sexiest man in Asia by the version of the English magazine “Eastern Eye”. The newspaper “Times of India” awarded him the title of the most eligible bachelor of India.
