BIOGRAPHY
American actress and comedienne.
Ana Gasteyer was born in Washington, DC. Her mother was an artist, and my father is the mayor of Corrales, new Mexico. She graduated from “northwestern University”.
Gasteyer acted treppe “The Groundlings”, which also began their journey which later became the very successful comedians Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Coolidge, Conan O’brien, Lisa Kudrow, etc. Before she gained fame in the show “Saturday night live” she had small roles in such sitcoms as “Seinfeld.”
After six seasons in the show “Saturday night live”, she left it in 2002 to pursue other projects. Gasteyer for the most part worked in the theatre, particularly performances on Broadway. She appeared in character roles in the films “What could be worse?”, “Mean girls”, “Women”, etc. She has also appeared in the television series “fashion Magazine”, “Frazier”, “Chuck” and “the Good wife”.
In 2010, she briefly returned to “Saturday Night Live”, appearing in the issue with Betty white. From 2011 to 2014 she starred in the sitcom Suburgatory.
