BIOGRAPHY
American film and stage actress.
She was born April 30, 1944 into a wealthy Jewish family, and her childhood was spent in a prestigious area of Manhattan. The desire to become an actress she appeared after college. Her debut in the early 1960s, and in the next two decades, she has played in numerous productions on Broadway.
In 1963, the actress made her debut on the big screen in the movie “Wedding Party”, which was released only six years later, in the rental. Success in movies Clayburgh reached a little later, in 1976, performing the role of Hilly Burns in the film “Silver Arrow”. Successful as it was the role in the film “An Unmarried Woman” in 1978, for which she received the Silver Award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival, and a nomination for “Oscar”, “Golden Globe” and “a BAFTA ‘.
