American film actor Matthew William Arthur “Art” Carney (November 4, 1918, in Mount Vernon, New York – November 9, 2003, Chester, Connecticut) was the youngest of six children of a mother Helen (nee Farrell) and Edward Michael Carney, journalists and publicists .
