Born in Indiana in 1923, Anne Baxter, grandson of the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright, is precocious actress. At age eleven, she takes acting lessons from Maria Ouspenskaja and two years later made his debut on stage on Broadway. In 1940, just seventeen, he took part in his first film, Blood Oath of Richard Thorpe. Despite the impeccable and the significant presence, more fascinating drama that handsome, Baxter will not succeed in establishing itself among the big stars, covering mostly supporting roles. In 1953 he starred in Hitchcock’s I Confess, while in 1956 the cast of The Ten Commandments of Č.B. De Mille. As of the end of the fifties his career will gradually declining, up to a prolonged retreat from 1961, when he decided to go and live with her husband in Australia uninhabited wasteland, experience which will draw for his book Intermission a True Story (1976), welcomed by the public. Anne Baxter is back on the set, but mainly on the stage, in the early seventies, playing in a musical comedy comes from Eve, the role that twenty years earlier had been Bette Davis.
