1956 Continental Mark II Convertible
In 1955, the Lincoln office who are responsible at Ford Motor for the release of prestigious cars, was not again to resume production of the model Lincoln continental. At the highest level, it was decided on creation of a new prestigious brand “continental”. The first model, released in 1956 under a new brand, was a coupe the continental mark II, with the eight-cylinder engine capacity of 6047 cm3 and a power of 285 horsepower and, most importantly, a fresh and modern design.
