70s. Recording Studio “American Century” is going through hard times. Company Director Richie Finestra is negotiating the sale of Polygram Records. We will see the story of forty years of music through the eyes of Finestra: the founding of the “American Century”, the rise and fall of the recording Studio, the value of the rock for himself Richie. The idea of “Vinyl” the lead singer of The Rolling Stones Mick Jagger was offered to Martin Scorsese in the mid-90s. Originally it was supposed to be a feature film about the history of the music of the 70s. But in 2008, it was decided to alter the material under series. The Jagger acted as one of the producers and scriptwriters of the project. Terence winter, who participated in the creation of “boardwalk Empire” and “the wolf of wall street”, was invited to work in 2007. In total, the producers of the musical series were made by more than 20 people, including Allen Coulter (“the Sopranos”), George Masters (breaking bad), John P. Melfi (house of cards), etc.
