Theo James is a talented British film actor and musician who gained popularity among viewers after playing a role in the film Divergent.

Attractive appearance and outstanding talent

Theodore Peter Taptiklis – this is how the full name of a famous British actor sounds. He was born on December 16, 1984 in Oxford County, United Kingdom.

In his family intertwined the roots of the nationalities of Europe and New Zealand, probably, this burning mixture and Teo owes its attractive appearance with expressive brown eyes and dark skin, well-built body and tall. And all this – along with the perfect ear for music, possession of several musical instruments and outstanding acting skills! It seemed that calling to be a famous actor or musician for Theo was predetermined.

But the young man himself was in no hurry to devote himself to an acting career. After graduating from school in his hometown, Theo entered the University of Nottingham. It showed strong intellectual groundwork – the university was completed with a degree in philosophy.

Only after that Theodore went to the call of his soul – to study the performing arts at the Bristol drama school.

Film career

Theo is not one of those who want to take everything from life at once. To each case, he fits thoroughly and performs it “at the level.” So it was with cinema. After graduating from drama school, the young actor was in no hurry to get on the screen.

Theodore made his debut in 2010 in the television series Passionate Woman. He played an imposing man, Craze, whom a married woman, the mother of a family, falls in love with. In the same year, Theo’s figure “lit up” in several episodes of the series “Downton Abbey.”

Several successful projects on television opened the door to the actor in a great movie. Directed by Woody Allen invited Theodore to participate in the shooting of the film “You will meet a mysterious stranger.” And although his role was secondary, he was fortunate enough to work on a film set with celebrities such as Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Wats and others. This brought the young actor the necessary experience and interesting acquaintances in creative circles.

A year has passed, and the Theodore filmography has been replenished with several more successful roles. He played a major role – a hero with the ability to see ghosts – in the mystical TV series thriller “Bedlam”. Then he played the role of a bloodthirsty vampire in the fourth part of the film “Underworld: Awakening”, thanks to which he became an idol of youth. He took part in the filming of the youth film comedies “Overgrown”, starred in the detective series thriller “Point of Salvation”, in the film “Red Tails”, the TV series “Golden Boy”.

In 2013, the shooting of the TV series “Lucky” with Theodore James in the lead role began. However, after the release of the first season, the show was closed.

Theo James – Divergent

The actor’s film career goes uphill in 2013 – he gets the role of Tobias in the Divergent dystopian film based on the trilogy of the same name Veronica Roth. This role turned out to be Theo very much to face – his hero is not afraid to admit his fears, thereby showing incredible courage. The actor himself admits that many of the features of Tobias are very impressive to him.

The shooting was difficult and exhausting, but the actors were not allowed to rest. Immediately after the release of Divergent, the work on the shooting of the second part, Insurgent, in which Theo also played the role of Handic continued.
