Dale Sandra “Sandy” Dennis (April 27, 1937 – March 2, 1992) is an American award-winning theater and film actress.
Dennis was born in Hastings (Nebraska). Her mother’s name was Yvonne and she was a secretary and his father’s name was Jack Dennis and was an official post. She also had a brother, Frank. In high school, he was a classmate dick Cavetta (also an actor and TV presenter). She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, and the University of Nebraska. She grew up in Kenesaw and in the town of Lincoln (Nebraska), which is enrolled in a theater group, the Lincoln Community Theater Group. At age 19, Sandy moved to New York.
She made her debut in 1956 in “The Guiding Light” and four years later she starred in a big hit – “Splendor in the Grass” (1961). However, the actress preferred to focus on a career in the theater. She has won two prestigious Tony Award, and one of them contributed to the proposal play the role of Honey (Academy Award nomination), the wife of an alcoholic be played by George Segal’a, in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” (1966). Then I received a number of roles, including in “Up the stairs down” (1967), “The Fox” (1967), “Sweet November” (1968) and “The City” (1970).

Christopher Lloyd Dennis, who played, among others, Superman says he’s her son, but this has not been confirmed by the actress.
Dennis died of cervical cancer in Westport (Connecticut), at the age of 54.
