Biography
American actor and comedian, winner of the “Oscar” in 1958.
Real name – Aaron Chvatt.
Since 1939, Red Buttons appeared in vaudeville, and since 1942 – on Broadway. During the Second World War, the actor took part in various entertainment programs for American troops in Europe. In the early 1950s he was leading his own television show, which aired successfully for three years.
On account of his work in films and television series, “The Longest Day”, “Harlow”, “They Shoot Horses, Do not They?” “The Love Boat”, “When the time is over,” “ER” and others.
The actor died in July 2006 from cardiovascular disease at his home in a suburb of Los Angeles at the age of 87 years.
