Philip Seymour Hoffman (1967 – 2014) – American actor. “Oscar” Award Winner. The greatest popularity gained for his role in “Capote” film, “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” “Charlie Wilson’s War” and “Master”.
Born July 23, 1967 in New York. His mother was a lawyer for civil rights, she drove her children active in theater and art house films. But the father of the future actor was Executive Director of Xerox, but her parents divorced when Philip was nine years old. In school, Hoffman seriously fond of basketball and wrestling, but after the injury of the cervical vertebra thoughts about sports career had to leave.
