Biography of Habib Nurmagomedov:
Habib Abdulmanapovich Nurmagomedov, like most of his Dagestani peers, began to engage in wrestling from early childhood. But unlike other children, he was more keen on this matter. His father is Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, under whose leadership many champions of Russia, Europe and the world have grown up. After several years of practicing on the carpet, Habib Nurmagomedov first moved to judo, and then to combat sambo. In the latter sport, he was able to become a champion of Russia and the world.

Successes in judo and combat sambo did not take long, but as Habib himself repeatedly emphasized, he wanted more. He wanted to not only fight, but also fight in the rack, and in September 2008 he made his debut in MMA. In the first professional duel, Nurmagomedov forced Vusal Bayramov to surrender. The young man was simply irresistible, and in the same year he fought three more fights, defeating, naturally, in each of them.
