Biography
Kate Burton was born in Geneva in the family of producer Sybil Burton and actor Richard Burton. In 1979 she graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in Russian culture and European history, and in 1983 the theater school at Yale University.
The first notable work of Kate Burton in the theater became Broadway production, 1982 Present Laughter. In 2002, the actress received two nominations for theater award “Tony” in the category “best actress in a play” (play based on the work of Ibsen “Gedda Gabler”) and “best supporting actress in a play” (“the elephant Man”).
