Jonathan Vincent “Jon” Voight – American actor, winner of awards “Oscar”, a BAFTA and a “Golden Globe”, the father of actress Angelina Jolie and actor James Haven. Best known for his roles in the films “Mission Impossible,” “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” “Midnight Cowboy,” “Coming Home,” “Pearl Harbor,” “National Treasure” and “National Treasure: Book of Secrets.”
Jon Voight was born on December 29, 1938 in Yonkers town, New York. His father, Elmer professionally engaged in golf. Ancestors Vojta paternal were Slovak immigrants, and maternal – Germans. Besides John, the family grew two more sons: the elder – Barry – got a volcanologist at the University of Pennsylvania, and the youngest – Wesley – gained fame as a musician, “Chip Taylor.” John was educated at a Catholic tradition and attended Archbishop Stepinac high school.
