Johnny Knoxville (real name – Philip John Clapp, born Philip John Clapp.) – American actor, producer and creator of the television show “Jackass.” Born March 11, 1971 in South Knoxville (Tennessee).
In 1989, Johnny graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles to continue his education at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, but two weeks later dropped out. His acting debut was a role in the television commercial.
Seven years later, Johnny came up with the idea to experience the balloon with gas and stun, remove it on video and send it to the magazine “Big Brother.” The idea worked, Johnny soon invited to the television in the TV show “Jackass”, where together with Jeff Tremayne and Spike Jonze are put on each other quite dangerous experiments. Later, Johnny became the producer of the project. This “extreme comedy” appeared on “the MTV” channel in 2001. The show begins with the question “what will happen if you shoot 36 caliber (9mm) himself in the chest, after wearing a bulletproof vest?”.
In parallel with the work on the “Jackass”, which resulted in several seasons of the television series and films, Knoxville starred in a movie. In 2002, he played a two-headed alien in the film “Men in Black 2” – played one of the most prominent roles in his career. In 2004, Johnny has also starred in the remake of Kevin Bray’s “Walking Tall” with a former wrestling star Dwayne Jones. In 2005 he got the main role in the movie “The Dukes of Hazzard.” He later starred in the film based on the true story of a famous country musician Gram Parsons, who died of a drug overdose, – “Daltry Calhoun”.
In 2008, Johnny Knoxville decided to try his hand at wrestling, despite the asthma. After a fight with the Great Khali, which lasted about a minute, Knoxville received a neck injury and delayed career athlete. In 2013 he played in the comedy “Movie 43” and “obnoxious grandfather”, and in 2014 announced by Leonardo in the film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Johnny Knoxville in the form of painted and appeared in the animated series “Family Guy.”
