1998 proved to be successful for the group since their album as much as 44 weeks stuck in the U.S. charts and eventually got platinum.
The group was founded by the former drummer of the legendary “Nirvana” by David Grohl. In “miranowski” period, being in the shadow of Cobain, David slowly wrote their own material. The name of the newly formed team received from the slang nicknames UFOs, the military pilots. In his new project, the Grohl took over the duties of vocalist and guitarist. The company he was the former guitarist of “The germs” Pat Smear toured with Nirvana during their tour “In Utero”. Completed the formation of bassist Nate Mendel (ex-“Diddly Squat”) and drummer William goldsmith. After recording demos with four tracks in March 1995, a concert debut “Foo fighters” on the show in Portland.
