Dorothy Eloise Maloney was born January 30, 1925 in Chicago. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Dallas, where young Dorothy began to act as a model and take part in school theatrical productions. During his studies at Southern Methodist University observed its agent «RKO» and she soon signed a contract with this film company. In 1942, she made her film debut.
At an early stage of his career, Dorothy Malone mostly starred in the films «B» category, many of which were westerns.
