Fifty years of work in television he was best known as the performer of the role of Maxwell Smart, agent 86, in the sitcom ‘Get smart’, for which Adams was also the writer and Director. Don Adams was born under name James Donald Yarmi 13 April 1923, the year in Manhattan. Son of William Yarmi with Hungarian and Jewish ancestry, who worked as a restaurant Manager, and his wife, Consuelo, Deiter. As a child, Adams became friends with Larry Starchem, and then through the Manager met comedian bill Dan.

The couple had four children, and Adam worked as a commercial artist and cashier at the restaurant to support a large family. Unfortunately, the Union of Adelaide and the don eventually ended in divorce.
On television, Adams appeared in 1954, winning the talent contest on Arthur Godfrey along with his childhood friend, bill Dan. Over the years don has starred in many Comedy, dramatic and variety shows, including the sitcom ‘the bill and Dan Show’.
