BIOGRAPHY
Born January 26, 1949 in San Francisco, California, USA.
Father David Strateyrna – a doctor, a native of Scotland. in Strateyrna Hawaiian roots through the maternal line.
He studied at the Redwood High School. He graduated from Williams College, where he became interested in theater and made friends with the future film director John Seylesom. By the will of the case I was in Florida, where he took the decision to study in the circus college Ringle Brothers and Bailey. At the end of the college during the six months he worked at the circus clown arena. In the summer of hitchhiking across the country and took part in the performances of different theater companies.
Since 1975 – an actor of theater in New York.
He made his debut in the cinema in a film of his friend John Seylesa
“Return of the Secaucus 7” (1980). Later she starred
most D.Seylesa movie “Brother from Another Planet” (1984)
“Witness” (1986), “Eight out of the game” (1988), “City
Hope “(1991) and others.
David Strateyrn played many small roles, supporting roles. The search for concise, expressive modeling character brought actor success in the film “Wild River” (1994), “LA Confidential” (1997), “Midsummer Night’s Dream” (1999), “Blue Machine” (2002), in which Strateyrn I created a psychologically deep internal conflicts the characters.
The role of television journalist Edward George Clooney in the film “Good Night and Good Luck” (2005) brought David Strateyrnu Volpi Cup at the prestigious Venice International Film Festival in 2005.
