Betty Lynn Buckley is a famous American theater and film actress. Born 3rd July 1947, the year in Fort Ware (Texas, USA), the son of a dancer and journalist Betty Bob and a retired Colonel of the U.S. air force, Dean of the faculty of engineering of the University of Texas Arlington, Ernst Buckley. She was the eldest and only daughter in the family, in which they raised four children. One of three of her younger brothers, Norman Buckley, later became a film and television producer.
In 1966, while studying at Texas Christian University, Betty Buckley won the contest “Miss Fort Worth” and participated in the contest “Miss
Texas 1966”, which was nominated for participation in the contest “Miss America”, held in Atlantic city.
Later, Betty Buckley returned to Fort Worth to finish school.
