Biography
Born on February 7, 1978 in the US state of Iowa. His father worked at the food factory of General Mills, and his mother – in the company Procter & Gamble. At birth, the boy was given the name Christopher Ashton. Ashton has a twin brother, Michael, was born five minutes later, and as a child had endured heart transplant. His parents divorced when Ashton was a teenager, and soon his mother remarried and they moved to a small farm away from the cities. After high school, the future actor, wanting to help his brother, went to study biochemical engineering at the University of Iowa. As a student, he worked part time at the factory where his father worked, and donated blood.
