BIOGRAPHY
ANNE ARCHER
She was born August 24, 1947 in Los Angeles, California, USA in a creative family.
The mother of actress Marjorie Lord and father John Archer were famous Hollywood actors. Since the childhood dreamed to become an actress. Studied dramatic arts at Claremont College.
Played in Broadway musicals. In film and TV since 1972: the TV series “the FBI”, “Ironside”, “Alice Smith and Jones”, “Little house on the Prairie”, the films “Lifeguard” (1976), “Paradise Alley” (1978), “Black tigers”(1978), “Green ice” (1981).
Performing the role of Beth Gallagher in the Thriller “Fatal attraction” (1987, dir. Adrian Lyne) in duet with Michael Douglas brought Anne Archer “Oscar” for the role of the second plan.
Anne Archer has created vivid characters in the movies of the mid 90-ies Clare Kane in the drama of Robert Altman “Short cuts” (1993, Golden globe, Volpi Cup), Dr. Ryan in the movie
“Patriot games” (1992), Cathy in the film “clear and present danger (1994).
Anne Archer continues to play in the theatre, acting in television shows and films: TV shows – “Ghost Whisperer”, “it’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” (both 2005-08), movies – “November”, “Exile” – (both 2004).
